MINNEAPOLIS — For the nearly 250 residents at Mount Olivet Careview Home in Minneapolis who can not make it out to the Minnesota State Fair, the nursing home brings the fair to them. A tradition going on 20 years now that is residents favorite event of the year.
"I'm a born and raised in Saint Paul, nothing is bigger than the State Fair," said resident Richard Stafford. "It means the world to us that they bring the fair to us."
The festivities included a petting zoo, mini donuts, live music, and so much more.
"We want to make sure we're meeting all of their needs as individuals, trying to enhance the quality of life that they have here with us," said Mount Olivet Careview Home Director of Community Relations Tom Litecky.
Nearly 100 people helped make the nursing home fair happen, and as you can imagine, The mini donuts were a crowd favorite.
