MINNEAPOLIS — Firefighters in Minneapolis battled two separate fires Wednesday evening, just two miles apart.
The first fire was located at a home in the 3600 block of Emerson Ave. N.
When crews arrived, the house was fully engulfed
Firefighters were unable to get inside the home to fight the fire and instead had to spray the house with water from the outside.
The second fire was in the 4800 block of Lyndale Ave N. and was visible from a MnDOT traffic camera.
Fire officials say the roof on the home collapsed into the second floor and another section is also in danger of collapse.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
Crews shut off power to both homes.
Fire officials say no one was in either home when the fires started.
Minneapolis firefighters say they were having some problems because of the frigid weather, such as frozen water lines.
