MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) Terminal 1 is fully open and vehicle traffic into the main terminal has resumed after a temporary closure late Wednesday afternoon.

In a social media post, MSP Airport said police completed an investigation into "a suspicious item in the north end of Terminal 1," but did not confirm any additional details.

Social media users posted that law enforcement was blocking travel into Terminal 1 from Highway 5. MnDOT cameras confirmed squad cars in that area, but traffic appeared to be flowing into the airport again around 6:15 p.m. In its post, MSP airport said the "inbound roadway has reopened and all areas of ticketing and baggage claim level are fully open."
