GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Beaten and robbed of his sight, Belo Cipriani was unexpectedly thrown into the world of blindness at age 26. He had to learn practically everything, including walk, over again. Rather than be defeated by these unimaginable challenges, Cipriani has triumphed. His inspiring story is the subject of "Blind: A Memoir."
Writer, disability advocate and experienced career coach, Belo Ciprianii joined the KARE 11 News at 4 to discuss how companies everywhere can become inclusive. Before moving to the Twin Cities, Cipriani was a recruiter in Silicon Valley for 10 years and helped companies such as Google, Apple, Ebay, Wells Fargo, and gap.com find top talent.
Cipriani lost his vision 10 years ago and has been learning how to navigate his new world ever since. He is currently the national spokesperson for Guide Dogs for the Blind and 100 Percent Wine, and author of "Blind: A Memoir.”
He moved to the Twin Cities earlier this year.
