GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — A new and efficient type of workout is coming to Minnesota. Basecamp Fitness is opening its first Midwest location in Minneapolis’ North Loop less than two weeks from now.
Basecamp's high-energy workout sessions last only 35 minutes, alternating 60-second bursts of strength-training exercises with 60-seconds on a stationary bike.
"You burn twice as many calories during a Basecamp Fitness workout compared to typical workouts", claims Jed Schmidt – President, Basecamp Fitness. He says Basecamp is fun because participants work out in two-person teams, attempting to bike 10, 12 or 14 miles together during the 35-minute session.
