BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — While most people think of arthritis as a condition that comes with age, it can also affect children.
The Walk to Cure Juvenile Arthritis is returning to the Mall of America soon.
Lindsey Lowry, an adult honoree at the Arthritis Foundation, Rosie Greske a youth honoree at the Arthritis Foundation, and Greg Greske, Rosie's dad, joined KARE 11 to discuss the upcoming walk.
In Minnesota, nearly 10,000 children are living with a form of juvenile arthritis. In the U.S., more than 300,000 children live with juvenile arthritis. More children have this condition than juvenile diabetes, cystic fibrosis, and muscular dystrophy combined.
The Arthritis Foundation raises awareness and funds to fight the nation's leading cause of disability, arthritis.
The funds will not only help the children living with arthritis pain but also help researchers get closer to finding a cure.
The Walk to Cure Juvenile Arthritis is Saturday, May 14 at the Mall of America.
