ST PAUL, Minn. — The Thai Cultural Council of Minnesota would like to invite the public to come and celebrate the third consecutive year of the Thai New Year celebration that will be held on the State Capitol grounds this upcoming weekend.
The 2024 Minnesota Songkran Festival's goal is to share Thai culture and tradition through the arts of food, performances and music.
Attendees can expect to see cultural performances, various Thai street food and desserts, live music, and souvenirs to take home.
Thai Cultural Council of Minnesota's Program Director, Lydia ThaiThai, joined KARE 11 Noon to discuss the history of the festival and its significance.
