Aliveness Project opens pharmacy for people living with HIV/AIDS

The new pharmacy will extend the Aliveness Project's mission of offering free HIV care to Twin Cities residents.

MINNEAPOLIS — Accessing medical care is a luxury that many of us take for granted.

For people living with HIV/AIDS, traditional pharmacies can sometimes be too expensive or difficult to access. The Aliveness Project in Minneapolis is looking to make sure people can get the care and medication they need at a new specialized pharmacy.

The Aliveness Project works to provide HIV/AIDS preventative care, testing, medication and information for people in the Twin Cities. Thrive RX, the group's new pharmacy, will offer these services at 3808 Nicollet Ave. in Minneapolis.

To celebrate the pharmacy opening, there will be an event at 11 a.m. on World AIDS Day, which is Sunday, Dec. 1. To learn more about the Aliveness Project and its free services, click here.
