You might have donated books to a Little Free Library, or maybe pulled one or two off the shelves.
Now it is time to recognize these community libraries as it is Little Free Library Week!
Little Free Library is a nonprofit founded in Hudson, Wis. Organizers are encouraging fans of the free bookshelves to donate a book or post your favorite mini library with #LFLweek on social media for a chance to win prizes.
Executive Director Greig Metzger and Little Free Library Content Marketing Manager Sarah Nelson visited KARE 11 News at Noon to share more.
Want to find a mini bookshelf near you? The organization has a free app to locate one near you.
And if you live in south Minneapolis, there is a unique one on the corner of 25th Street and Humboldt Avenue South. The locally famous Tulip House has a Little Free Library that doubles as a tiny model of the home.
