MINNEAPOLIS — Most people love a battle where good wins out over evil, right?

Well, that's just what happens in the traditional Hindu celebration known as Holi, the Festival of Colors, which is celebrated every year on the day after a full moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna. That usually occurs in early March.

On Saturday, Midtown Global Market will celebrate Holi with a special event that takes place from noon to 2 p.m. Market vendor MomoDosa will prepare special dishes for the celebration while artists, dancers and musicians will share the holiday's cultural flavors.

Rashmi Bhattachan, owner of MomoDosa, visited KARE News at Noon Friday to whip up some delicacies and talk about what makes Holi special.

Saturday's event is free and the public is encouraged to join in the festivities.
