GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn — In recent years The Minnesota State Fair Grandstand has been committed to broadening its lineup and trying to offer something for every music fan.
On Friday, Aug. 23, rapper-producer-entrepreneur-philanthropist Chance The Rapper will roll into Falcon Heights to entertain what should be a packed house. Chance, whose career really launched in 2012 with his homemade mixtape "10 Day" has become an international presence through a prolific solo career and making countless guest appearances on the records of other artists.
Recently Chance sat down for a satellite interview with KARE 11 News at Noon's Alexis Rodgers. He talked about what fans can expect from the upcoming State Fair gig, his memories of playing Twin Cities venues like First Avenue and Minnesotans who have influenced his music and career.
