MINNEAPOLIS — If you're looking to entertain and educate your kids - and not on an iPad - one of the best places to check out this winter is the Children's Theatre in Minneapolis.

The Theatre's latest production is "The Carp Who Would Not Quit and Other Animal Stories" from the Honolulu Theatre for Youth.

The play was inspired by Japanese and Okinawan traditional fables, and uses puppetry and music to engage the audience with the culture and history.

Playwright and director Reiko Ho and performer Hermenigildo Tesoro Jr. came to the KARE 11 studio on Tuesday to preview the show.

The show will run from Jan. 25 - Feb. 18. For more information on the show, click here

Tickets range from $15-35. The show is 50 minutes long and is recommended for young theatre-goers.
