Dairy Queen partners with local hospitals to raise money

Dairy Queen has raised more than $180 million for local children's hospitals over 40 years.

If you're craving something sweet, then today is a great day to indulge and head to Dairy Queen. 

The restaurant chain is working with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to donate $1 per Blizzard Treat bought on July 25. Children's Miracle Network will distribute the money to local children's hospitals. 

According to a press release, Dairy Queen has raised more than $180 million for local children's hospitals over 40 years. 

Stephen Bariteau from Gillette Children's Hospital, Ruth Evelyn Pranke, a local Children's Miracle Network champion, and Kelly Kenny from Dairy Queen joined KARE 11 News at Noon to discuss the fundraiser.
