Delta Dental sends 50,000 health kits to kids

To improve health - and to save you money down the road - experts recommend starting kids early with hygiene habits.

MINNEAPOLIS — Having good hygiene can make a kid happier, healthier and more confident.

That's why Delta Dental is sending 50,000 dental health kits to first-graders. The Smiles@School program works with more than 600 Minnesota schools to get these kits to students.

Dr. Eileen Crespo, with Delta Dental, came in to the KARE 11 studio to talk about the program.
