ST PAUL, Minn. — Raise a glass and celebrate El Burrito Mercado's 45th anniversary!
The restaurant and marketplace is a mainstay in St. Paul, offering authentic Mexican food and specialty groceries. You might also bump into El Burrito Mercado's food truck at a variety of events in the Twin Cities.
Milissa Silva visited KARE 11 News at Noon to share more about her family's restaurant and legacy. To sample the menu, she brought quesabirria tacos, chilaquiles and Mexican pan dulce to share with the anchors.
As for the 45th anniversary celebration, fans can look forward to festivities starting on Friday, July 26. There will be a "Red Party" where you can get a free shot or non-alcoholic beverage if you wear red.
On Saturday, July 27, there will be traditional dances and music. Then Sunday, July 28, there will be something for the whole family, with free face painting for kids, live performances and an elote eating contest.
