Free screenings for head and neck cancer

On April 16 and 19, providers will be offering free screenings at clinics across the state.

MINNEAPOLIS — April is Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month, and in honor of that, several free screenings will be available for Minnesota residents. 

Dr. Deepak Kademani, of Minnesota Oral and Facial Surgery, visited the KARE 11 Studio Friday to share more. 

Kademani has treated thousands of head and neck cancer patients and emphasized the importance of getting screened for it in a media release. 

Free walk-in screening events will take place in the following cities: 

Owatonna - Dakota Valley OMS on April 16 from 2-4 p.m.  

Lakeville - Dakota Valley OMS on April 16 from 3-5 p.m. 

Crystal - Alpine Dental on April 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Cambridge - Cambridge Dental Center on April 19 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Minneapolis - Minnesota Oral and Facial Surgery on April 19 from 1-3 p.m.

Sartell - Minnesota Oral and Facial Surgery on April 19 from 1-3 p.m.

Bemidji - Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates on April 19 from 1-3 p.m.
