IndiaFest highlights food, culture

Enjoy everything from mouthwatering treats to dancing at the State Capitol grounds.

ST PAUL, Minn. — IndiaFest is coming to St. Paul, and the celebration will highlight arts, fashion, culture, games and — mouthwatering food. 

Meena Bharti and Vipasha Verma of the India Association of Minnesota visited the KARE 11 studio to share a few of the delicious bites that you can find at the festival.

The two brought Pani Puri and Vada Pav (snacks), Chicken 65 (spiced chicken), Goat Biryani (rice dish) and Mango Mastani (drink). 

The free event will take place at the State Capitol Grounds on Aug. 17 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will be crafts, jewelry and clothing for sale, and once the sun goes down, the grounds will turn into a Bollywood-style dance floor.
