June is Men's Health Month

Dr. Gerald Hautman, chief medical officer of population health at UnitedHealthcare, joined KARE 11 News at Noon to speak about the importance of men's health.

MINNEAPOLIS — Did you know men are 50% less likely than women to seek medical care?

June is Men's Health Month, so health care leaders are sharing some tips with men who want to better care for themselves. That's why Dr. Gerald Hautman, chief medical officer of population health at UnitedHealthcare, joined KARE 11 News at Noon on Monday to speak about the importance of men's health.

In his segment, Hautman explains how to make preventative care a priority, reduce risky behaviors like alcohol and tobacco use and offers ways to stay active this summer — while still acknowledging when it's time to take it easy.

Hautman also puts a strong emphasis on men's mental health.
