ST PAUL, Minn. — Owning a pet bird isn't for everyone, but it can be a rewarding and joyful experience.
That's why The Parrot's Umbrella offers support and resources to pet bird owners to reduce rehoming, surrenders and euthanasia cases. The nonprofit offers adoption and rehoming as well as programs such as Wings and Warriors, which provides transportation for veterans to volunteer with birds.
To share more about their work, Nina Cooper and Jennifer Winkel visited KARE 11 News at Noon on Tuesday.
