Lynx coach talks drafted and returning players for 2024 season

The team drafted two players to a strong preseason lineup.

MINNEAPOLIS — Fresh off the WNBA draft Monday night, Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve is excited about the upcoming 2024 season.

She recapped the draft and previewed what's coming for the team on Tuesday on KARE 11 News at Noon.

With the No. 8 overall pick, the Lynx selected Alissa Pili, an All-American forward who averaged 21.4 points and 6.6 rebounds — both team highs. Her powerful on-court presence helped lift the Utes to an opening-round win in the NCAA Tournament.

The Lynx also drafted Kiki Jefferson as the No. 31 pick. She averaged a team-best 12.3 points with the University of Louisville. These two will join a team led by Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBride.

The Lynx will have two preseason games - with one on May 4 at Target Center against the Chicago Sky. For tickets, click here
