Meet 'The Voice' contestant from Minneapolis

Adam Bohanon's performance turned the chair of the "Queen of Country" Reba McEntire.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis' very own vocalist Adam Bohanon turned a chair and landed a spot on "The Voice" Season 26.

Now, he's visiting KARE 11 News at Noon on Friday to share more about his journey. Bohanon describes his style and preferred genre as "Dirty Soul," which is a fusion of Southern soul and rhythm and blues.

Bohanon sang "Home" by Marc Broussard, which caught the attention of the "Queen of Country" Reba McEntire. He joined McEntire's team during Monday night's show.

In a press release, Bohanon shared that his music has been greatly influenced his experience as Black biracial man and moving across the world as a child.

If you want to watch Bohanon compete, the show is available on NBC, Peacock and Hulu.
