GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — Minneapolis' Midtown Global Market begins its seven-day Kwanzaa celebration Tuesday, which event organizers say will highlight local Black businesses in addition to Black health and wellness.
The market, located on East Lake Street in south Minneapolis, is working with the nonprofit Cultural Wellness Center on the holiday event.
Brand ambassador for the Cultural Wellness Center, T. Michael Ramo; community navigator Qadash Yasharahla; and master drummer Ghana Mbaye joined KARE 11 at Noon to talk about the week-long event, which includes drum classes, line dancing, children's activities, painting and more.
