ST PAUL, Minn. — Wouldn't it be nice to go to college and not have to pay a dime for tuition or required fees?
The North Star Promise Scholarship can help with that. The program starts in the fall of 2024 for students at public Minnesota higher education facilities.
If a student receives this scholarship, it will cover the remainder of tuition and required fees after other scholarships, grants, stipends and tuition waivers are applied.
Metro State University is one of the institutions offering this scholarship and anticipates that 1,000 students at their school will qualify. Brittany Tweed, Director of Financial Aid at Metro State University, visited the KARE 11 studio to chat about it.
Metro State is hosting a webinar on April 16 to share more information on the program. To register or see more, click here.
