ST PAUL, Minn. — Ever wondered what's going on in your neighborhood? Hyperlocal media like WFNU Frogtown Community Radio exist to fill that need to know about area events, incidents and community impact.

But in order to keep the airwaves abuzz, the radio station is hosting a "Pay the Rent Party" encouraging listeners to donate to meet their goal of $10,000. The 24-hour event starts at midnight on Sunday, June 2 and includes live interviews, music and prizes.

Katharine DeCelle and Philip Gracia, co-directors of WFNU and long-time volunteer Karen J Larson visited the KARE 11 Studio Thursday to chat more about the event.
