People of Color Career Fair in Minneapolis

The fair takes place Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Convention Center's Ballroom and is free for all professionals hoping to expand their networks.

MINNEAPOLIS — Ready for your next gig? Stop by the expanded People of Color Career Fair next week at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

The fair takes place Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Convention Center's Ballroom and is free for all professionals hoping to expand their networks.

Sharon Smith-Akinsanya, CEO of the Rae Mackenzie Group and founder of the People Of Color Career Fair, stopped by KARE 11 News at Noon to share more about the event and its impact on Minnesota and its growing communities of color. 

More than 50 leading employers are scheduled to attend the fair, while Metro Transit is offering free passes to attendees for greater accessibility.
