MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota African American Heritage Museum & Gallery is hosting an exhibit on okra and indigo in Minneapolis through February and March.
Azania Tripp, an artist and social worker, came to the KARE 11 studios to chat about the exhibit on Monday.
The art show includes community portraits and custom furniture that highlight Black and African American chefs and others. The gallery is open Feb. 6 - March 30.
Tripp will also lead a jewelry-making event with a catered menu on Feb. 17. Tickets are sold out, but jewelry from the event will be displayed in the museum afterward.
