The inaugural Special Olympics Dance Invitational

Folks with Special Olympics MN joined KARE 11 Noon to discuss the new event.

MANKATO, Minn. — This weekend a first-of-its-kind sports event is coming to Minnesota.

On Saturday, May 11, dancers in the Special Olympics will go head to head in a dance invitational at Mankato East High School. 

It's free for everyone to attend. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. and the event starts at 10 a.m.

Mitzi Roberts, Ambassador to Special Olympics MN, and Emma McConville,  Delegation Services Manager at Special Olympics MN, joined KARE 11 Noon to discuss the new Dance Invitational.
