MINNEAPOLIS — If you're looking to brighten up a room, Taylor Rae Hillestad knows just how to do it.
The Twin Cities artist creates 4-foot-tall portraits splashed with neon colors and rhinestones. Some of her most well-known works feature Minnesota athletes like Timberwolves player Anthony Edwards and Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
And these athletes have taken a special interest - Edwards purchased his portrait and Jefferson's family did so as well.
Hillestad visited the KARE 11 News at Noon Tuesday to share more about her work and what inspires it.
The artist also paints pets, custom pictures and other celebrities. For more information on Hillestad's art, click here.
