MINNEAPOLIS — Twin Cities Con, the annual celebration of comics and pop culture, kicks off Friday at the Minneapolis Convention Center, featuring a star-studded lineup of celebrities and activities.
The 501st Legion, an all-volunteer organization, is committed to promoting Star Wars through high-quality costume craftsmanship and community service initiatives.
The convention will feature numerous internationally renowned TV and movie actors, wrestlers, anime voice actors, comic creators, and other entertainers. Attendees will have the chance to meet stars like Kevin Smith and Jason Lee from "Clerks" and "Mallrats," Minnesota-born Rachael Leigh Cook, Danny Trejo, Steve Burns (the original host of "Blues Clues"), and many more.
Twin Cities Con, running from November 3 to 5, 2023, will offer attendees the chance to engage with renowned celebrities, participate in various gaming tournaments, attend discussion panels, and explore an exhibitor and artist marketplace.
Tickets for the event are available at different price points, with adult tickets ranging from $35 for a one-day pass to $70 for a weekend pass. Children 13 and under can enjoy the entire weekend for just $10. VIP Pass options are also available, including the Twin Cities Con Weekend VIP Pass for $149 and the exclusive Kevin Smith VIP Pass for $350, providing additional perks such as early entry, priority access, and personalized mementos.
Nerd Street, the event production company behind the convention, continues to bring together enthusiasts at various pop culture events across the country.
In addition to celebrity appearances, the convention will offer a diverse range of activities and events, including celebrity guest Q&A sessions, tabletop gaming tournaments, video gaming tournaments, discussion panels and workshops, an exhibitor and artist marketplace, and costume contests on Saturday and Sunday to showcase the area's best cosplayers.
