V-Fest highlights music and health in St. Paul

Organizer Phillip McGraw said the event aims to promote healing and well-being in communities of color.

ST PAUL, Minn. — How often do you listen to music?

Between Spotify, streaming platforms and old-school radio, music surrounds us in our daily life. It can make you want to dance or cry, but either way, it channels important emotions.

Phillip McGraw wants to celebrate the power of music in St. Paul at V-Fest. He visited KARE 11 News at Noon to share more about the event, saying that it aims to promote healing and well-being in communities of color.

The celebration will occur Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at ArtsUs at 1221 Marshall Ave. There will be R&B performances, line dancing, painting and massages.

If you get thirsty from the exertion, Plant Bar Cafe will be serving juices.
