Valleyfair and American Cancer Society fundraise for childhood cancer

People who donate $75 or more will be invited to a day of rides, catered lunch and a program at the park.

SHAKOPEE, Minn. — What is more fun and fulfilling than spending a day at Valleyfair? Using that money for good... and getting to ride rollercoasters as well.

Valleyfair and American Cancer Society Gold Together are partnering to fundraise for childhood cancer on Aug. 23. People who donate $75 or more will be invited to a day of rides, catered lunch and a program at the park.

Camilla Karschnik and her mom, Lindsey, visited KARE 11 News at Noon to share more about Camilla's cancer journey. When she was five years old, she experienced seizures and was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. Due to the Mayo Clinic's treatment, Camilla hasn't had any seizures or side effects since then.

All of the day's proceeds will go back to the American Cancer Society to fight childhood cancer. For tickets or more information, click here
