Wild Nights at the Minnesota Zoo

The zoo's Zach Nugent and Jennifer Zuehlke joined KARE 11 News at Noon Friday with very special guest, Rue the opossum, to talk about the event.

APPLE VALLEY, Minn. — Spend your Friday night with music and nature at the Minnesota Zoo's Wild Nights summer festival series.

This is the third season guests have been invited to enjoy music across five Friday nights in summer, featuring artists at two stages along with wandering musicians throughout the grounds.

Headlining the second Wild Nights of 2024 is Chastity Brown at the zoo's amphitheater, while Church of Cash will play a tribute show to Johnny Cash on the Upper South Plaza. The evening also includes food trucks and a local artisan market, and the zoo said its animal trails, habitats and other attractions will remain open through the end of the evening.

The zoo's Zach Nugent and Jennifer Zuehlke joined KARE 11 News at Noon Friday with a very special guest, Rue the opossum, to talk about the event.

Doors open to the public at 5 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m. Individual tickets are $30 for zoo members and $40 for non-members.

The zoo said all proceeds support zoo operations, including animal care and conservation programming.
