The founder of the event, Gary Berg, joined KARE 11 News at Noon to share the details.

FRIDLEY, Minn. — Have you ever wanted the full experience of participating in a 10k or marathon but just didn't want to do the running part? This is the race for you.

The Zero K "Run" will go from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 13 at the Forgotten Star Brewery in Fridley.

Despite the absence of actual running, participants still receive the full racer experience with race packets, running bibs, finisher medals and 0.0 stickers, all while supporting a good cause.

The event aims to raise awareness and money for the Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) Research Foundation.

CMT is a neurogenetic disorder affecting 125,000 people in the U.S. and 2.6 million worldwide.

The founder of the event, Gary Berg, joined KARE 11 News at Noon to share the details.
