MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis homicide investigators are launching a "suspicious death" probe after a shooting on the city's north side left one man dead Monday night.
The shooting occurred just before 9:30 p.m. on the 1900 block of 44th Ave N, according to Minneapolis police spokesman Sergeant Garrett Parten. Responding officers and parademic crews provided lifesaving care but the victim died at the scene. He is described as a man in his 30s.
Parten said there were people in the home at the time officers arrived. They are being questioned about what led to the shooting, while crime scene technicians collect and process evidence from the scene.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information is available.
