COON RAPIDS, Minn. — A woman was killed after a truck hauling a trailer collided with an SUV Sunday night in Coon Rapids.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, the woman was a passenger in an SUV that was traveling eastbound on Coon Rapids Boulevard Northwest. Officials say the SUV was attempting to turn left onto Springbrook Drive Northwest when a truck traveling westbound on Coon Rapids Boulevard struck the SUV just before 9:30 p.m.
Authorities say the woman was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died. The driver of the SUV was also transported to a local hospital and is believed to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to a press release.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken into custody but has not been charged.
