MINNETONKA,Minn.-- The second annual Ice Out Loon Infundraiser hosted by The Freshwater Societywill be held on Thursday, April 12. The event celebrates the breakup of ice on Lake Minnetonka and the migrating loons who often visit the lake as the first open water appears. The Freshwater Society promotes the conservation, protection, and restoration of all freshwater resources.
The celebration will be held from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at the Lafayette Club on Lake Minnetonka.
There will be appetizers and drinks, a live band, a loon-calling contest, and a silent auction with a lot of great goods and services.
Tickets are $30 per person or $50 for two in advance, and $35 and $60 at the door. Buy tickets at www.freshwater.org.
