GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — The donation deadline is quickly approaching for the Marines Toys for Tots campaign this year, but you can be part of the final push for toys here at our KARE 11 studios.
KARE 11 will be hosting a “Parade of Toys” on Wednesday, Dec. 13, as we invite community members to drop off their toy donations all day at the Toys for Tots tent outside our studios located at 8811 Olson Memorial Highway in Golden Valley.
Individuals and groups who drop off donations will have a chance to be featured on a special “Parade of Toys” livestream from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on KARE 11+, our streaming app for Roku, Fire TV and Apple TV devices, as well as streaming on kare11.com, the KARE 11 mobile app, and the KARE 11 YouTube channel. Viewers watching the stream will also be treated to the festive sounds of holiday music from local artists Shalo Lee, Matthew Griswold, Monserrat Santana, Thomasina Petrus & Thomas West, and Known MPLS.
The first 200 people to drop off a donation starting at 9 a.m. will also receive a free treat, a bag of delicious donuts from North Star Donuts.
The Marines have set a goal of 300,000 toys collected in the Twin Cities area this season. For more information on the campaign, click here.
