BLAINE, Minn. — A woman died after officials say they were stuck by an SUV as they crossed a busy intersection in Blaine.
According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, it happened at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the intersection of University Avenue Northeast and 85th Avenue.
The driver of an SUV was going south on University Avenue NE when they struck a 47-year-old woman who was crossing the intersection on foot. According to crash documents, the driver had a green light.
Officials said that lifesaving measures were done but she was declared dead at the scene.
