BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — Days after a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Brooklyn Park, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified her as a 78-year-old Chatsworth, California, woman.

Brooklyn Park police officers first arrived at West Broadway Street and Candlewood Drive for a report of a crash around 6 p.m. Sunday.

When responders arrived, they found the woman, Cuc Thi Tran, dead at the scene.

The medical examiner's report, released Tuesday, ruled the manner of Tran's death an accident due to multiple blunt force injuries.

According to an earlier release, the driver remained at the scene and agreed to cooperate with the investigation.
