WILLOW RIVER, Minn. — The Pine County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help identifying a driver after they nearly hit two children getting off of the school bus in Willow River.

The bus was making its rounds around 3:20 p.m. on Dec. 21 and it stopped on County Road 41 in Willow River to let off two children, according to a Facebook post by the department

In the posted video, one child crosses the road in front of the bus and is followed by a second. A red pickup truck zooms toward the bus, passing another car on the shoulder of the road before blowing by the bus stop arm, missing the child as they ran to avoid getting hit.

Officials said the vehicle is a red 1994 Ford Ranger truck with a Minnesota license plate of 116KPL. If you have information about this driver, call the Pine County authorities at 320-629-8380.
