CASS COUNTY, Minn. — A pilot avoided serious injuries after their plane crashed on a northern Minnesota lake during a proficiency flight Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the crash occurred just after 2 p.m. on Inguadona Lake in Cass County. Officials said the pilot is safe and was checked by emergency responders at the scene.
The DNR says they're investigating to determine why the plane went down.
