Police chase vehicle with suspects who allegedly stole mail

The North Branch Police Department is encouraging local residents to check their mail to see if they are missing anything.

NORTH BRANCH, Minn. — Several people suspected of "attempting to steal mail from various mailboxes" were arrested Tuesday morning following a police chase, according to a Facebook post from the North Branch Police Department.

Officers were sent to the area of 382nd Drive and Falcon Avenue in North Branch on the report of a suspicious vehicle, at which point they discovered the vehicle was stolen.

Authorities say a Chisago County Sheriff's deputy in their squad car started chasing the stolen vehicle. Law enforcement officers from other departments became involved in the pursuit. The chase ended in Forest Lake and the suspects were taken into custody, according to the post.
