ZUMBROTA, Minn. — It's not every day you have to lasso a sheep.
But two Zumbrota police officers found themselves on an unconventional call Tuesday — chasing after a sheep on the lam. Officer Cameron and Sergeant Pasquale cornered the sheep in a fenced-in backyard, but the crafty "baah-ndit" escaped with some quick hops, as seen on a video on the Zumbrota Police Department's Facebook page.
In a sequel video to this wooly incident, Police Chief Patrick Callahan and another officer called on the help of cowboys from Central Livestock - Zumbrota. The cowboys cornered the sheep in a resident's yard and then tackled the persistent creature.
In classic dad joke fashion, Callahan can be heard on the video saying, "Ewe are awesome," before cracking up.
