MINNEAPOLIS — A man found fatally shot on a Minneapolis sidewalk early Sunday has been identified.
According to a press release, officers from the Minneapolis Third Precinct responded to reports of a shooting and a Shot Spotter activation at the intersection of East Lake Street and Bloomington Avenue just after 1 a.m.
When officers arrived in the Powderhorn neighborhood, they found a man, identified Monday as 58-year-old Kevin Buster Jackson, who had been shot. Officers and medical services worked to save the man. EMS took him to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he died a few hours later.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner released that Jackson, a Minneapolis man, died of multiple gunshot wounds around 3 a.m.
Investigators said they are working to figure out what happened, but there have been no arrests.
