ROBBINSDALE, Minn. — A man is dead after being shot in Robbinsdale.
Police responded to reports of the sound of shots fired in the area of Lowry and Indiana North, officials said. Police also received a crash detection in the same area.
When law enforcement arrived, the victim was found in a crashed car with a gunshot wound. Officials said the victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office said the victim is Treyvon Marcellis Molette, 22, of Hastings.
Police said it is likely the victim and possible suspect knew each other. No arrests have yet been made.
According to the Robbinsdale Police Department, this is the first homicide in the city this year.
