GREENWOOD, Minn. - New details are emerging about the horrific murder-suicide in a Lake Minnetonka home this past week.
Police say Brian Short killed himself after killing his wife and three children.
On Friday, South Lake Minnetonka Police Department Chief Mike Siitari called the case gruesome and complex.
On Saturday, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner released details on just how all five members of the Short family died.
It was quiet outside the Short's home in Greenwood on Saturday. Memorial flowers were left at the end of their driveway. Police tape was still up.

Many people have asked why this tragedy happened. In a statement on Saturday, police said they do not yet have a motive.
But Short, who founded the company allnurses.com, was being sued for libel in federal court by a New Jersey-based company called Achieve Test Prep. The lawsuit blames allnurses.com and Short for a series of negative online posts about its training programs. On Aug. 28, a judge ordered the case moved from New Jersey to Minnesota.
Police would not go on camera Saturday. But in the statement, Chief Siitari did say "There are many moving parts in an investigation of this magnitude. I once again ask for the media's and public's patience while we work through all of the evidence and facts."
That statement from police also said that while police discovered the bodies of the family this past Thursday, they are estimating that the murders happened sometime between late Monday night and early Tuesday morning.
