MAPLEWOOD, Minn. — A pedestrian died Friday night after a hit-and-run in Maplewood.
According to a press release from the City of Maplewood, officers saw two vehicles stopped with a pedestrian, who appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. Officials attempted life-saving measures, but the pedestrian later died. The pedestrian was later identified as 56-year-old Mark Koepke.
Authorities say the incident occurred on northbound McKnight Road North near Margaret Street at around 10 p.m. The vehicle involved was not at the scene, but say that it likely has "significant front-end damage," according to the release.
On Tuesday, police said they're looking for a 2011 to 2020 dark blue Dodge Caravan. with damage to the front right end.
