Rebecca Veeck, daughter of St. Paul Saints owner, dies at 27

She passed away in Charleston due to Batten's disease.

ST PAUL, Minn. — Rebecca Veeck, daughter of St. Paul Saints owner Mike Veeck, has passed away, according to a statement from the team.

"Our hearts break for the Veeck family. Rebecca has been a part of the Saints family since she was old enough to talk. Her smile and joy warmed the hearts of those she met. Rebecca will truly be missed," the statement read.

Rebecca died at the age of 27 in Charleston, South Carolina due to Batten's disease.

According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, Batten's disease is a common name for rare, fatal, inherited nervous system disorders also known as neuronal ceroid lipofuscinoses, or NCLs.
