Here are the roads closed around Mankato in southern Minnesota

Rising water continues to cause problems for Mankato motorists, as well as those making their way south on Highway 169.

MANKATO, Minn. — After days of heavy rain, trees and other debris are causing issues for people in southern Minnesota, closing roads and pushing rivers and lakes out of their banks.

MnDOT posted a range of closures and advisories online and on social media.

Many of the closings are located on Highway 169 in Blue Earth County and areas around Mankato. On Monday night, officials said Rapidan Dam had "partially failed," but added the dam is "still intact and there are no current plans for a mass evacuation."
