RED LODGE, Mont. — The body of a 20-year-old Rogers man was recovered Wednesday after he fell while hiking in Montana earlier this month.

According to Red Lodge Fire Rescue, Dylan Honnoll was hiking in the Beartooth Mountains near Red Lodge, Montana on July 12 when he attempted to a cross a creek near the outlet of Rimrock Lake. The trail, known to hikers as "Beaten Path," went from East Rosebud Lake to Cooke City. While attempting to cross, officials say he fell into the rapids below Rimrock Lake and died.

"He had just completed his sophomore year at Montana State University, was active in sports, and had spent a lifetime in the outdoors with his family and friends," Red Lodge Fire Rescue posted on social media. "Our thoughts go out to Dylan’s family, friends and fellow students during this difficult time."
